An important component that should be implemented in the science classroom is the use of technology. Technology is a key component in the active learning model and I believe it should be incorporated into all science based classrooms. Virtual labs and simulations can provide a hands on experience that may not otherwise be feasible to implement in the classroom. Also, lot of times materials and other resources that may not be available to teachers and students first hand, can be explored by students through the use of technology and give them hands on experiences with a broad range of environments, objects, and phenomena.
